The P\u0159\u00e1slavice bunker was part of a secret communication system that was created during the Cold War. Its code name was Action 025<\/strong>. <\/p>\n The communication system was designed so that it could at least partially function even in times of nuclear conflict. Therefore, the entire network, used by the army and civilian forces, consisted of wired and wireless connections that could substitute cables. <\/span>Ruggedized amplifier stations<\/strong>, or bunkers, were built from the end of the 1960s as the second stage of network security (preceded by the construction of cable circuits around important cities).<\/span> <\/p>\n The location of the first of these buildings on the territory of the former Czechoslovakia was chosen between the villages of Mrsklesy and P\u0159\u00e1slavice<\/strong>. The place where the bunker is located was a quarry<\/strong> before World War II. However, the war interrupted mining and the place was filled with water, creating a lake that is still in the bunker today. The building was built on the premises of a former tank training area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The rock structure<\/strong> on this site provided ideal conditions for the construction of a secret telecommunications bunker, which happened at the end of the 70s. <\/p>\n All construction work was carried out under the supervision of the army and was strictly secret<\/strong>. You can see how it has changed over time according to the requirements of the army in the following photos. <\/p>\n It changed from the original fields<\/strong> and the First Republic quarry<\/strong> through a tank training area to a top-secret complex of an army and civilian connecting node.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n It is currently owned by the private company Flenexa plus s.r.o., which is gradually breathing new life into the area.
